Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #170 Showcases the Prominent Wielder of Hassou Tobi, Yoshitsune

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 170th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Yoshitsune, a demon/Persona well-known for being the wielder of Hassou Tobi. This potent skill decimates foes. He is based on a historical figure in Japanese history who was the general of the Minamoto clan. He endured many arduous trials of war and is popular in Japan for his several depictions in media.

Yoshitsune wields several notable physical and buffing skills, making him an adept powerhouse at non-elemental combat. He debuted in Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner, with his first Persona game appearance being in Persona 4.

You can view the Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon video introducing Yoshitsune below:

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
