Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #151 Showcases the Mediating Priestess Kikuri-Hime
The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 151st Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Kikuri-Hime, a goddess who took on the role of priestess and mediator as she resolved a dispute between Izanagi and Izanami. Additionally, due to her efforts, she has been respectfully regarded as an adept deity at matchmaking. She is also credited for being instrumental in establishing the iconic identity of the Japanese priestess.
Kikuri-Hime wields Media, Zanma, Tarukaja, Tarunda, and Recarm, making her a supportive demon with a potent affinity for magical skills. She debuted in Megami Tensei II, and her first Persona game appearance was in Persona 3.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.
When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.
Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
