Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #136 Showcases the Human Corpse Feaster Pisaca
The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 136th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Pisaca, demonic beings who feast on the corpses of humans. They are generally seen as horrid abominations lacking any sense of fathomable emotion or morality. Additionally, they can possess humans and inflict a multitude of agonizing effects, turn invisible, and alter their appearance at will.
Pisaca tends to wield status inflicting and darkness skills, making it an excellent demon for crafty combatants to excel with. Pisaca debuted in Megami Tensei II, and their first Persona game appearance was in Persona 5.
You can view the Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon video introducing Pisaca below:
Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.
When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.
Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
