Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #130 Showcases the Clairvoyant Flauros

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 130th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Flauros, a great duke of Hell who governs 36 legions of aggressive, warrior-centric spirits. His appearance is of a snake when first seen, but he does morph into the form of a man at the command of his master. Additionally, he wields the power of fire and can see through the past and future.

Flauros wields Agidyne and Damascus Claw, making him, as mentioned earlier, a fire-centric demon alongside boasting impressive physical strength. He debuted in the first Shin Megami Tensei, and his first Persona game appearance was in Persona 3.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
