Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #127 Showcases the Iconic Underworld Guardian Cerberus
The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 127th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Cerberus, who needs no introduction, but I shall provide 1 anyway. He is a monstrous canine under Hades’ beck and call who guards the Underworld’s gates. Additionally, while he is usually depicted with 3 heads, it is not necessarily defined, such as his appearance with just 1 head in this game.
Cerberus wields Agidyne and Sukukaja, making him a demon favoring the element of fire, and he also tends to be strength-centric across his various iterations. He debuted in Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei, and his first Persona game appearance was in the first one.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.
When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.
Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
