Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #120 Showcases the Copper Snake Yurlungur

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 120th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Yurlungur, a copper snake from Australian mythology alternatively known as the Rainbow Serpent due to his ability to cause rain to fall. This aptitude at providing rainfall gave Yurlungur the reputation of birthing life into the world.

Yurlungur wields Ziodyne, Bufudyne, and Diarahan, making him a powerful magic-centric demon. Still, in other titles, he is also notable for usually housing incredible endurance/vitality. Yurlungur debuted in the original Shin Megami Tensei and first appeared in the Persona series through Persona 3 FES.

You can view the Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon video introducing Yurlungur below:

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
