Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #101 Showcases The Meager Koppa Tengu
The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 101st Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Koppa Tengu, a member of a race from Japanese mythology who is one of the least influential members of the family, lacking in spiritual strength. They were also usually depicted as being messengers for elderly or superior Tengu.
Koppa Tengu wields Sukukaja and Zanma, making him a reliable demon in the realms of speed and evasion while boasting an affinity for the element of wind. He is a relatively recent addition in the grand scheme of the Megami Tensei series, with his first Shin Megami Tensei appearance being in Nocturne and his first Persona appearance being far more recent; Persona 5.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.
When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.
Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
