Shin Megami Tensei V Broadcast Showcases New Characters and Magatsuhi Skills; Next Program Planned for Late August

During today’s stream covering the latest information on the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V, several new characters were introduced, and they all wield their own vivid personalities and goals.

Tao Isonokami is the protagonist’s childhood friend and a member of the school’s lacrosse club. She is a caring and kind person with a sixth sense, though she has been having odd dreams lately and hears a distant voice calling out to her.

Yuzuru Astuta is another friend of the protagonist’s and is responsible and assertive in his actions. He has an undeniably powerful sense of morality and seeks to protect his sister, Miyazu. Ichiro Dazai is a classmate of the protagonist’s and is noticeably cheerful and awkward. After the incident with demons arrives at the forefront, he desires to become someone to rely on and fight for a noble cause.

Miyazu Astuta is Yuzuru’s sister and his only living relative. Her demeanor is constantly shy and reserved, and she worries for her brother following the demon assault. Hayao Koshimizu is the Prime Minister of Japan and the main representative of the Bethel organization. He is calm and strategic and is the one who grants the protagonist and his friends the demon summoning program in the first place with the request of helping Bethel.

New battle mechanics are then introduced, with the first one being Magatsuhi Skills. During battles, the Magatsuhi gauge gradually fills up. Using it once full will unleash a spectacular skill that can deal massive amounts of damage or support the party in various ways, such as healing or buffing. Enemies can utilize this new mechanic as well, however.

The broadcast concludes with a confirmation of late August having another Shin Megami Tensei V-centered program.
