18 Years After the Release of Shenmue II, Shenmue III Receives Launch Trailer
Deep Silver released a new trailer for the Ys Net-developed adventure Shenmue III, coming to PlayStation 4 and PC-via Epic Games Store on November 19.
The trailer is perhaps the most emotional as it reflects how the game launched 18 years after Shenmue II. In that time, the series has gained a large following of fans who wished for the project to continue. Now, the story can continue as players rejoin Ryo on his quest for justice. The trailer also catches players up to speed on the game’s story and side-characters.
Shenmue III follows the events after Shenmue II where Ryo Hazuki embarks on a new journey. The game will feature the series’ iconic martial arts action sequences and events as well as introduce new systems. The developer has already reported that this is not the end of the series.
In case you missed, the game is getting several retail editions that offer different items depending on where the player picks up the game at. If you’re planning on getting a physical version of the game I’d check out the list. The publisher recently revealed gameplay showing what players can do in their free time.
