Cygames-Developed Deck Builder ‘Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle’ Coming to Switch
XSEED Games announced they will publish the Cygames-developed deck builder Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle on Nintendo Switch in summer 2021.
Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle is based on the anime adaptation of the mobile and PC deck builder and has been reimagined for its Switch release. Players will progress through the game and collect new cards to build up their decks. There are solo modes available, along with online modes for multiplayer matches. The Switch version adds a deluxe battle animation for “a more immersive experience.”
Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle has players take control of the new transfer student at Tensei Academy, where you’re introduced to the game of Shadowverse. Along with their new friend, Hiro Ryugasaki, the friends team up with the Shadowverse club president to bring honor to the club by winning the national championship.
Shadowverse: Champion’s Battle is developed by Cygames, who has been regularly updating the other Shadowverse titles on PC and mobile. The series has received a sizable fanbase, so it’s only natural to see a Switch release. No other platforms have been announced at this time.
Further, the publisher released a new trailer that shows the game in action. The trailer also gives fans a preview of the English audio for some of the characters.
