Shadow of the Tomb Raider New DLC ‘The Price of Survival’ Out Now; Includes Silent but Deadly Additions

Square Enix, Eidos-Montréal, and Crystal Dynamics have announced that newest Shadow of the Tomb Raider DLC adventure , ‘The Price of Survival’, is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It’s a free download to all Season Pass holders, and can be purchased seperately for $4.99.

You might remember that the previous DLC, ‘The Nightmare’, released a few weeks ago. Similar to that one, the latest DLC includes a new challenge tomb, outfit, weapon, and skill.

The new tomb has players help Lara Croft solve a puzzle to crack the codes of Trinity’s leader, taking her to a tomb filled with poisonous traps to avoid and elite soldiers to fight or sneak around.

Players that want to take a more stealthy approach to conquering the tomb can equip the new Hunter’s Array outfit, which is a Classic Trinity uniform that makes Lara’s footsteps quieter while running. Another neat feature with the outfit is that it also increases the effect of perception plants, providing longer-lasting vision to hunt enemies. Also, Lara can be even more of a silent killer with the Silent Sting, a pistol outfitted with a silencer for stealthier kills. To go along with the new sneaky outfit and pistol in Lara’s arsenal, the Raptor’s Eye skill, a skill that tracks enemies and makes their outline visible through walls and other obstacles, completely makes Lara a silent but deadly force to be reckoned with.

Those looking for a challenge will find that in the update, tombs from the main campaign, Judge’s Gaze, Underworld Gate, Howling Caves, Path of Battle, Temple of the Sun, San Cordoba, and Ancient Aqueduct are all now playable in Score Attack and Time Attack modes.
