Shadow of the Tomb Raider Gameplay Video Reveals the Hidden City of Paititi
Square Enix released new gameplay for the Eidos-Montréal and Crystal Dynamics developed survival adventure title Shadow of the Tomb Raider, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam on September 14.
The gameplay reveals the city of Paititi, which is the largest hub created in a Tomb Raider game. The area will allow players to interact with villagers and merchants in order to gain knowledge or barter for a particular item, which includes costumes. Additionally, this will the area where players will enhance weapons and find out the locations of hidden crypts and challenge tombs. The publisher adds that this is an area that players can sink hours into as they prepare to journey out in the dangerous areas outside of the city.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider takes play following the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider. Series protagonist, Lara Croft, is exploring Latin America in search of a Mayan relic which is said to be connected to her late father. However, it seems that others are also in search of the relic and won’t let Lara have it so easily. Supposedly, this item has the ability to reshape the world and so you can bet that these men will die to gain access to the power

Author’s take: I have yet to beat Rise of the Tomb Raider, but this reboot is getting super ambitious. Whether that’s a good thing or not is yet to be seen, but right now I feel like it’s time I jump back into the series.
