The House in Fata Morgana Developer’s ‘Seventh Lair Remastered’ Launching for Switch; New Large-Scale Project in Development

Developer NOVECT recently published a new blog post on their Fanbox website in which the company wishes fans a happy new year as well as sharing a clip of Liuyun, a character in their upcoming visual novel, Project Code Name “M.” He runs a cleaning service in downtown Tokyo and is dependable, but possesses a foul mouth.

As for upcoming plans, the tenth anniversary of The House in Fata Morgana is emphasized, with the Chinese version of The House in Fata Morgana: Dreams of the Revenants Edition launching on January 19, 2023.

Moreover, Seventh Lair Remastered, a visual novel currently available on Steam, will launch for Nintendo Switch in the unspecified future. However, based on the wording, it appears fans won’t have to wait too long. And lastly, a new large-scale project is in development. There were no details on it besides being a time-consuming process, but it’s exciting nonetheless.

Project Code Name “M” is a single-player-only title planned to release for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. However, no release date or window has been provided yet.

Throughout this title, players investigate a serial murder case from two perspectives, the killer and detectives who work in the body disposal business. This game takes place in modern Japan, in downtown Tokyo, with specific locations like Asakusa and Yoshiwara being depicted. Players themselves try to devise and enact the perfect crime, and they interview victimized parties afterward through the primary gimmick of switching perspectives.
