Horror Mystery ‘Sentimental Death Loop’ Coming to Switch Next Month; PC Release to Follow
Qureate has revealed their newest game to be a mystery horror called Sentimental Death Loop, coming to Nintendo Switch on July 6, 2023, with a PC via Steam Release planned for later this summer.
Sentimental Death Loop was teased by the developer, but now more information has been provided. Players assume the role of Noa Ashahi, who is celebrating her birthday. Her classmate, Nemu Tsukishiro, is throwing her a little party, but after giving Noa her gift, she becomes enraged due to Noa being distracted by a photo she found. So, Nemu grabs a knife and kills Noa. Right as Noa was about to die, she snaps too, holding Nemu’s gift, confronted with the choice of what to do after seeing the future.
During gameplay, players can jump through time to change Noa’s destiny. There are investigation portions of the game that allow players to explore environments and look for items and clues needed to survive. However, throughout these moments, Nemu is one step behind, waiting to make her move and kill you. The actions players make will lead to several different endings, including the death of her other friends, Akane Higuchi and Suzuka Hayami.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development and release of Sentimental Death Loop.
