Sega Teases a ‘Judgment’ Related Announcement in 2 Weeks

Sega of America has recently listed an upcoming live stream event on their Youtube channel titled ‘JUDGMENT DAY.’ The thumbnail of the upcoming event states “Judgment Day” with “Coming Soon” below it.

This event is obviously related to their recently remastered release of Judgment on modern platforms, which is a spin-off of the ever-growing Yakuza franchise. Many are speculating on what this live stream could announce. Most fans hope for a sequel, which would certainly be worth the hype of 2-week advance notice.

Personally speaking, a sequel announcement makes the most sense given the momentum the recent remastered release has provided and the aforementioned purposeful listing of the event 2 weeks in advance. The announcement has to be something major, but it really depends on what Sega thinks is considerable.

What I think is going somewhat under the radar is that this live stream event is listed on the Sega of America Youtube channel. If this announcement is sequel-related, that shows how much more seriously the developer and publisher are taking the western market. The series has grown considerably in the west, so seeing this preemptive stream listing is certainly expected, but still a cause for celebration nonetheless.
