Sega Launches Two Double Pack Switch Collections With Sonic and Super Monkey Ball; Physically and Digitally
Sega has launched two double-pack collections on Nintendo Switch with entries from the Sonic Series and Super Monkey Ball both digitally and physically for $39.99.
Players can choose between the collections which feature either Team Sonic Racing and Sonic Mania or Sonic Forces and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD. The games’ physical release will include both titles on the cartridge and make for a few hours of interesting gameplay since the titles in the collection vary in genre.
Team Sonic Racing allows players to race across various tracks as some of their favorite characters in the series. The game keeps the speed high and allows players to collect items to use on their opponents during a race. Sonic Mania, on the other hand, is a return to classic Sonic adventures. Players can experience some retro elements of the Sonic series on a brand new quest to stop Dr. Robotnic.
Sonic Forces is the newest entry in the mainline series and has players attempt to save the world after a time of peace. There are a character creator mode and some unique gameplay elements, but the entry was created as a new direction for the series and didn’t stick with everyone. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD is a fun, hectic puzzle game where you roll a monkey through goals, and that’s pretty much it.
Each game is also available as a standalone release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
