Sega Genesis Mini Extends Library to 42 Games With Tetris, Darius, Monster World IV, and More

Today, Sega announced that it’s mini-console will not feature 40 preloaded games. Instead, the console will feature 42 preloaded games with the addition of 12 new titles added to to the mini-console’s line-up.

Tetris will join the library of games for players to play one of the most addictive and competitive games available. While the Sega version of the game is pretty much just Tetris that players have probably played before, this is Sega so expect some meaty bass tones in the music as you play through as many levels as possible.

Additionally, Darius has also joined the line-up. This arcade classic is headed to a new platform and the team has confirmed you won’t need three monitors to enjoy it. Along with the announcement were the rest of the mini-console’s line up which includes games like Road Rash II and Strider, which are arguably two of the console’s greatest titles, but if that wasn’t enough, Monster World IV will also release along with Kid Chameleon.

The console is shaping up to be one of the most robust mini-consoles on the market. Here is the total list of the 12 games announced today:
