Sabotage released a short gameplay video for their turn-based RPG, Sea of Stars, set in the universe of The Messanger, and developed for PC-via Steam and consoles for a 2022 launch.
The video is brief at only around 15 seconds but shows off a nice enemy slug the players will have to defeat. The video also gives players a quick look at the battle system, which resembles the genre’s retro titles. More enemies should be revealed over time.
Sea of Stars stars Valere and Zale, two characters who share the same fate of becoming Solstice Warriors. Each shares the power of the Sun and Moon to perform what is known as Eclipse Magic to fight against an evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
Combat in Sea of Stars has players take control of six-party members in turn-based RPG systems. The game also removes level grinding as character skills are unlocked through game progression and not tied to how many fights are taken. When battles occur, players must use their tactical skills to make it out and pre-emptively counter powerful enemy attacks.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development of Sea of Stars.
