Developer Sabotage Studio has announced that their turn-based RPG Sea of Stars will be featured in the next issue of the weekly Famitsu magazine, set to launch on November 30, 2023.
Fans can anticipate the game to be featured across 16 pages, with artwork and showcases of the characters and world. The magazine’s cover also features the game with some gorgeous new artwork. It’s a pretty impressive feat for a non-Japanese indie game to be presented on the cover of this magazine, so congrats to Sabotage Studio.
Sea of Stars stars Valere and Zale, two characters who share the same fate of becoming Solstice Warriors. Each shares the power of the Sun and Moon to perform what is known as Eclipse Magic to fight against an evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
Combat in Sea of Stars has players take control of six-party members in turn-based RPG systems. The game also removes level grinding as character skills are unlocked through game progression and not tied to how many fights are taken. When battles occur, players must use their tactical skills to make it out and pre-emptively counter powerful enemy attacks.
