Developer Sabotage Studio has announced that they have partnered with retailer iam8bit for a physical release of the upcoming turn-based RPG Sea of Stars. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch owners can anticipate a physical launch based on the announcement tweet.

The launch date for these editions is early 2024, with no other date, but we’ll keep you all updated.

You can view the tweet confirming the Sea of Stars physical release below:

Sea of Stars stars Valere and Zale, two characters with the same fate of becoming Solstice Warriors. Each share the power of the Sun and Moon to perform what is known as Eclipse Magic to fight against an evil alchemist, The Fleshmancer.

Combat in Sea of Stars has players take control of six-party members in turn-based RPG systems. The game also removes level grinding as character skills are unlocked through game progression and not tied to how many fights are taken. When battles occur, players must use their tactical skills to make it out and pre-emptively counter powerful enemy attacks.

Sea of Stars ran a successful Kickstarter to fund its development, with a recent trailer showing 19 minutes of gameplay.

Sea of Stars will launch digitally for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 29, 2023. It will launch on Game Pass and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on launch day. The title has also been verified for Steam Deck.

The game’s demo is available on all platforms.
