Sea of Stars Announces $34.99 Digital Price; Regional Pricing Will Apply
Developer Sabotage Studio has announced that their upcoming turn-based RPG Sea of Stars will be priced at $34.99 USD on launch. Additionally, regional pricing will be applied on all platforms, meaning if you live outside of the United States, the pricing will alter and be scaled depending on your currency.
It’s also worth noting that this price point only reflects the digital release. A physical version of the game is planned sometime after the digital launch. We’ll keep you all updated with Sea of Star’s release.
Sea of Stars stars Valere and Zale, two characters with the same fate of becoming Solstice Warriors. Each shares the power of the Sun and Moon to perform what is known as Eclipse Magic to fight against an evil alchemist, The Fleshmancer.
Combat in Sea of Stars has players take control of six-party members in turn-based RPG systems. The game also removes level grinding as character skills are unlocked through game progression and not tied to how many fights are taken. When battles occur, players must use their tactical skills to make it out and pre-emptively counter powerful enemy attacks.
Sea of Stars ran a successful Kickstarter to fund its development, with the most recent trailer showing 19 minutes of gameplay.
The “Wheels” minigame was recently highlighted in a deep-dive video.
Sea of Stars will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on August 29, 2023. It will launch on Game Pass day one.
The game’s demo is available on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
