Milestone has announced that its arcade racing game Screamer will launch on March 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Inspired by classic ’90s anime, the title centers on the Screamer tournament, a competition where every participant enters with a deeply personal motive.
The tournament brings together five distinct teams comprising soldiers, scientists, criminals, celebrities, and powerful magnates. The competition is overseen by a certain figure pulling the strings behind the scenes. Each driver pilots a vehicle tailored to their personality and racing style, complete with a unique design and a special ability.
Racing in Screamer uses the revolutionary ECHO technology. This system lets players balance Boost, Strike, and Shield abilities. When Overdrive activates, races push cars beyond their limits with relentless speed and destructive power.
Some races emphasize teamwork, where finishing positions and eliminating opponents are equally important, while others focus on maintaining Overdrive for as long as possible. Plus, the game will support both online competition and local split-screen play.
The standard edition will be $59.99 and have the Chromed Style Pack, while the $69.99 deluxe edition will have the following:
- Digital Deluxe Upgrade – Unique customizations for the Screamers’ vehicles
- Chromed Style Pack – 15 chromed liveries for the tournament competitors’ vehicles.
- Iridescent Style Pack – Iridescent liveries for the Screamers’ vehicles.
