Scarlet Nexus Receives New Free Story Demo Allowing Play Up To Phase 2 of the Main Campaign; Scenario Writer Takumi Miyajima Shares Special Interview

Bandai Namco announced that a new demo is available for their action-adventure Scarlet Nexus available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.

This updated demo allows players to play through an additional phase for free. You can now complete the campaign through Phase 2 and receive additional bonuses, including:

Two Attachments

• Bunny Ear Mask (Head) [White]
• OSF Standard Issue Pack [Black]

Two Plug-ins

• Forcefield: Mk II
• Power Enhance: Mk II

Progress and items can transfer over to the main game.

Further, Scenario Writer Takumi Miyajima has been interviewed by the publisher to talk about their approach to writing this title. Miyajima-san gives insight into how the world was crafted alongside the characters and the differences in writing styles when compared to the Tales series. Scarlet Nexus is set in the distant future where a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain. This leads to people gaining extra-sensory powers and thus changing the world. Humanity entered a new era, but deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains.

These enemies aren’t affected by mortal weapons, and so humanity is forced to rely on those with abilities to save the world. Players take on the role of Yuito Sumerage to uncover the mysteries of a Brain Punk future that is caught between technology and psychic abilities.
