Action RPG ‘Scarlet Nexus’ Gets New Story Trailer Highlighting Kasane and Gameplay

During Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online, Bandai Namco released a new gameplay trailer for their action-adventure RPG Scarlet Nexus coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC-via Steam in 2020.

The trailer highlights the characters and their reasons for taking on the enemy that threatens humanity. The creatures, known as “Others,” have invaded, but the Others Suppression Force (OSF) is here to stop them in their tracks using psychic abilities and powerful skills. Players are also introduced to Kasane, an orphan who lost her parents in a raid from the Others when she was a child. She is joining Yoito as a playable character and has her own story campaign and abilities. Both Kasane and Yuito will benefit from the support of party members, such as Gemma Garrison, Luka Travers, or Tsugumi Nazar, in order to get rid of the Others threat.

Scarlet Nexus is set in the distant future where a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain. This leads to people going extra-sensory powers and thus changing the world. Humanity entered a new era, but from it, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains.

These enemies aren’t affected by mortal weapons, and so humanity is forced to rely on those with abilities to save the world. Players take on the role of Yuito Sumerage to uncover the mysteries of a Brain Punk future that is caught between technology and psychic abilities.
