Scarlet Nexus Director Wholesomely Shares Love for the Game Nearly Every Day Post-Launch
Regardless of the outcome, every game has development team members who want to create a genuinely engaging product. Still, there is usually a barrier between devs and fans aside from understandably curated and official channels. However, the director for the action JRPG Scarlet Nexus has shown how sharing enthusiasm for what one has developed on social media undoubtedly pulls people in, creating an infectiously joyous circle that brings fans together and makes new ones.
Whenever I am on Twitter, there is a fair chance I’ll see a tweet from Scarlet Nexus Director Kenji Anabuki. I’ve never seen a developer so consistently dedicated to sharing their delight for a piece of media they have helped make. Aside from personally thanking individual fans for tweets that praise the title, Anabuki also shares daily screenshots he takes from Scarlet Nexus (currently up to 332) and advertises the game in several appropriate avenues. It’s genuinely impressive, and I believe other developers can take notes from him in being transparent for how much they love the games they are tied to.

There’s nothing specific we wanted to point out in this piece as we just want to highlight appreciation for Anabuki’s efforts. Hopefully, Scarlet Nexus earns even more fans because of it.
Scarlet Nexus is set in the distant future, where a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain. This leads to people gaining extra-sensory powers and thus changing the world. Humanity entered a new era, but deranged mutants known as Others began to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains.

These enemies aren’t affected by mortal weapons, so humanity is forced to rely on those with abilities to save the world. Players take on the role of Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall to uncover the mysteries of a Brain Punk future caught between technological dependence and psychic abilities.
