Scarlet Nexus Director Finishes 1,000 Daily Art Posts; Wants to Make a Sequel One Day

The director for the action JRPG Scarlet Nexus, Kenji Anabuki, has performed a near-daily activity since the title was initially launched. On his Twitter account, Anabuki has posted daily images of the characters in-game.

Today, he finally achieved 1,000 image posts, which is pretty impressive. It’s highly evident that Anabuki holds considerable love and passion for this sci-fi JRPG. He also commented that he will “devote his life as a developer to make a sequel one day.”

Hopefully, that happens one day. Scarlet Nexus is a pretty underrated gem.

Scarlet Nexus is set in the distant future, where a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain. This leads to people gaining extra-sensory powers and thus changing the world. Humanity entered a new era, but deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains.

These enemies aren’t affected by mortal weapons, and so humanity is forced to rely on those with abilities to save the world. Players take on the role of Yuito Sumerage to uncover the mysteries of a Brain Punk future that is caught between technology and psychic abilities.
