Visual Novel by Scenario Writer of Folklore ‘Scar of the Doll’ Available Now in the West for PC and Switch

Mamekujira announced that the Child-Dream-developed psychological horror visual novel Scar of the Doll: A Psycho-Horror Story about the Mystery of an Older Sister is available now on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Scar of the Doll: A Psycho-Horror Story about the Mystery of an Older Sister was initially released in 1998 in Japan. 24 years later, the developer has come together to remake the game for a worldwide audience. Scenario writer Hidehisa Miyashita (Folklore) also worked on the game.

Further, the Switch version of the game includes additional content for the second half of the story, where a zapping scenario from different sub-character points of view has been introduced. Further, all graphics, including characters and stills, have been renewed. There’s also an option to turn on and off the horror elements.

Scar of the Doll: A Psycho-Horror Story about the Mystery of an Older Sister tells the story of two sisters. Stranger, contact with the older sister who has been studying in Tokyo has been cut, which leads Asumi Kamijo to go and find her. However, there seem to be signs of her sister anywhere, but clues lead Asumi to some pretty dark places.
