Nicalis announced that the Christophe Galati developed retro platformer Save me Mr Tako! will release on Nintendo Switch and PC-via Steam on October 30.
Save me Mr Tako! is set in a world where humans and octopi are at war. However, an octopus named Mr Tako ends up saving a woman from drowning one night. After this good deed, a fairy grants him the ability to survive on land. This is when Mr Tako decides to mend the conflicts between his people and the human race.
During gameplay, players will switch hats in order to grant Mr Tako special abilities which will help him solve puzzles, fight bosses, and get through 16 dungeons across six worlds. The game has retro graphics with optional color palettes and chiptune music.
Save me Mr Tako! will launch digitally on the Nintendo eShop and Steam for $14.99.

Author’s take: Taking a look at all the big budget games that are releasing this month, Save me Mr Tako! seems to fit in perfectly to fill that retro nostalgia that anyone is having. I curious to know about the possibility of more levels being added in later on.
