Samurai Warriors 5 Launches in the West Revealing Hot Spring DLC Scenario and More to Come

Koei Tecmo has launched the Omega Force-developed 1 versus 1000 action game Samurai Warriors 5 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in the west.

Along with the launch, the publisher revealed additional DLC that players can look forward to. Players can purchase the DLC at a standalone price or purchase the Season Pass for a discounted price. The Season Pass is also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition.

The first wave of DLC is scheduled to release on August 5 and will include an added scenario where Shikanosuke and Magoichi enter the battlefield to get to a famous hot spring. Players will fight against enemies to claim the hot spring and enjoy. I should note for those just here for the hot spring screenshots, nothing has been revealed, and the two characters involved in the scenario are male, but we aren’t counting out Sengoku Era bathing suits just yet.

Additional scenarios include a scene where Oichi is concerned about something before her wedding with Nagamasa Azai and a battle featuring Hanbei Takenaka based on riddles. Along with the scenarios, new weapons will also be included.

DLC Wave 2 is scheduled to release on August 19 and will include three new scenarios, The strongest right-hand man, Turning the tables, and How to be a warrior.
