Samurai Shodown Reveals Guilty Gear’s Baiken as Newest DLC Character; Trailer Teases She May Be Coming to Guilty Gear Strive

SNK Corporation launched a new gameplay trailer revealing Baiken as the newest character for their fighter Samurai Shodown Season 3 content.

Revealed as a Guilty Gear collaboration, Baiken joins the roster of season 3 characters. Baiken fits in on the rost as she utilizes her blade for counters and powerful attacks.

Further, the end of the trailer teases that she needs to get back to her world after she defeats these characters. This means that we might see her in Guilty Gear Strive. The character says, “Tch. Lemme hurry and clean up this mess so I can go back to my old world.”

Samurai Shodown is a reboot of the 2D fighting game series by presenting it with a new 3D graphical look. However, the developer has worked hard to retain the classic fantasy Samurai manga look of the series. Samurai Shodown is set in the late 18th century after the events of Samurai Showdown V and prior to the events of the original game. Each of the fighters has a personal mission which leads them to encounter many of their former foes.
