SNK Corporation announced that their fighter Samurai Shodown will launch on Xbox Series X|S on March 16.
This version of Samurai Shodown will feature 120 FPS gameplay for fans to provide a smooth fighting experience. Further, the game benefits from Smart Delivery for those who have already purchased the game on Xbox One, all DLC and save data will also carry over.
The team has plans to launch a physical version of the game that comes with a download code for five DLC characters, Rimururu, Basara, Kazuki Kazama, Wan-Fu, and the newest character revealed ChamCham. Other characters will need to be purchased.
Samurai Shodown is a reboot of the 2D fighting game series by presenting it with a new 3D graphical look. However, the developer has worked hard to retain the classic fantasy Samurai manga look of the series. Samurai Shodown is set in the late 18th century after Samurai Showdown V’s events and before the original game’s events. Each of the fighters has a personal mission, which leads them to encounter many of their former foes.
