Samurai Shodown Rollback Netcode Update Delayed Again, No Planned Date

SNK has announced that the highly anticipated rollback netcode update for their fighting title, Samurai Shodown, has, unfortunately, been delayed once again. This rollback update was delayed before and was planned to launch in September 2023. However, there is now no planned date.

In addition to an apology, a Community Beta Test for Steam is scheduled for October. The new date of the rollback netcode release will be determined by the results of that beta test.

We’ll keep you all informed of this Samurai Shodown update.

Samurai Shodown is a reboot of the 2D fighting game series by presenting it with a new 3D graphical look. However, the developer has worked hard to retain the classic fantasy Samurai manga look of the series. Samurai Shodownis set in the late 18th century after the events of Samurai Showdown V and prior to the events of the original game. Each of the fighters has a personal mission, which leads them to encounter many of their former foes.
