Samurai Multiplayer Title ‘Hanako: Honor & Blade’ Reveals September Release Date and Final Area Map in New Trailer

Developer +Mpact Games has announced that their online multiplayer title, Hanako: Honor & Blade, will be releasing on PC via Steam in September. This game takes place in Feudal Japan, with 24 players all choosing their own distinctive classes. Ranging from archers to ninjas to swordsmen, there is a great variety of playstyles to employ across these immersive areas.

Matt Canei, Team Lead at +Mpact Games, had this brief statement to say regarding the title’s development process:

“As we put the final touches on Hanako: Honor & Blade we’re reflecting on the bittersweet journey we’ve shared to honor those we have lost. Seeing the transformation of the Yamai Castle map to celebrate a cleansing victory brings home the emotional impact of what our team has accomplished using our own resources.”

Hanako: Honor & Blade is a passion project where its art direction and backstory act as a tribute to the team lead’s late mother. The thematic struggle of life and death is represented through the game’s two warrior clans continually opposing each other. The Hanako Clan represents health and goodness in the spirit of the team lead’s late mother, while the Yamai Clan is inherently opposite, symbolizing death and disease.
