Schoolgirl Action Game ‘Samurai Maiden’ Gets December Release Date in New Trailer

D3 Publisher announced that their schoolgirl action, Samurai Maiden, will launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on December 8, 2022.

There’s a standard digital version available for $59.99, with a digital deluxe edition available for $74.99. The digital deluxe edition comes with costume outfits for all playable characters, a variety of weapons to choose from, and additional background music to hack and slash away to.

Throughout this title, protagonist Tsumugi Tamaori finds herself summoned within her sleep to the Sengoku period, where she encounters the legendary Nobunaga Oda, Japan’s initial great unifier.

However, a portal to the underworld opens up beneath the Honnoji Temple, causing Tsumugi to be granted a sword by Nobunaga. Though thankfully and coincidentally, Tsumugi knows the basics of swordplay since she practices it as a hobby. So, armed with this genuine weapon, she goes on to slay waves of undead foes. The group can also unlock special abilities using the “Gokage System,” which allows a rapid combination of Tsumugi’s sword style and The Gokage’s powerful ninjutsu.
