Samurai Maiden Reveals Character Profiles & New Screenshots

Developer Shade has revealed new information and screenshots for their upcoming action title, Samurai Maiden, via Japanese outlet 4Gamer.

The primary cast received profiles, and they are each translated below courtesy of our team’s Ryuji:

Tsumugi Tamaori – Voiced by Yuki Yomichi

Just your ordinary high-school young girl in the present day. She is suddenly summoned to Honnoji in the Warring States period while studying in detention in her classroom after school.

She has been learning swordsmanship at her family’s dojo since she was little and is so skilled that her grandfather expects her to be his heir. However, she thinks of it as a way to lose weight. She is single-minded and hot-blooded.

She’s an optimist who does not think too deeply about things. She is popular with the girls around her at school, and her hobbies include shopping and eating crêpes.

Iyo – Voiced by Miku Itō

One of the Gokage ninjas whose task is to protect Tsumugi. She is a ninja of the Warring States period and answers to Nobunaga Oda. She is physically stronger than other ninjas, but she’s not very good at stealthy moving around. She is also skilled in handling explosives such as flaming kunai and bombs.

She strongly respects and admires Tsumugi and always tries her best to help her as much as possible. But on the other hand, she suffers from an inferiority complex. Her favorite pastime is bathing in the water after training.

Hagane – Voiced by Sumire Uesaka

One of the Gokage ninjas whose task is to protect Tsumugi. Part of her body is mechanically modified. Specifically, her right arm can stretch like a wire and conduct a high-voltage electrical current.

She may look like a kind and caring older sister, but she also has a cold-hearted and pessimistic side, as she has no hesitation in taking the lives of her enemies and believes that resisting fate is futile.

Komimi – Voiced by Miyu Tomita

One of the Gokage ninjas whose task is to protect Tsumugi. She’s a unique ninja who sports a fluffy tail and ears. She’s a genius in the yin-yang arts and wields a giant mallet, where her magical abilities can cloak it with a cold-like air.

She has absolute confidence in his own abilities and treats others with a “holier than thou” attitude, but she doesn’t mean malice. She is exceptionally directionally challenged and always gets lost when walking alone.
