Samura Shodown Reveals DLC Characters Mina, Sogetsu, and Iroha in New Trailer

SNK announced released the first trailer for Season Pass 2 of their fighter, Samurai Shodown, available now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch coming February 25 and a PC release to follow.

Season Pass 2 will add four new characters to the roster, but it seems the developer is focused on building up the game’s assets to a higher standard. Three of the four characters have been revealed as Mina Majikina, Sogetsu Kazama, and Iroha. The fourth character will be revealed at a later date, but the DLC is planned to launch in February.

However, I think we’re all here for Iroha so let’s get down it. Sadly, the trailer doesn’t spend too much time on her gameplay, but we should be sure to see more soon.

Samurai Shodown will reboot the 2D fighting game series by presenting it with a new 3D graphical look. However, the developer has worked hard to retain the classic fantasy Samurai manga look of the series. Samurai Shodown is set in the late 18th century after the events of Samurai Showdown V and prior to the events of the original game. Each of the fighters has a personal mission which leads them to encounter many of their former foes.
