Samba de Amigo Releasing for Meta Quest Later This Year

Sega has announced that their upcoming rhythm title, Samba de Amigo, will launch for Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro in Fall 2023, as well as the Meta Quest 3 later this year, for $29.99. Forty songs and minigames will be featured alongside a World Party Mode featuring seven players.

Pre-orders are now available, and those who do so will get a ” replica Meta Quest 2 VR headset and a pair of Meta Quest controllers that can be equipped in place of their Amigo’s maracas.”

Samba de Amigo: Party Central is a new entry in the Samba de Amigo series. The playlist is set to include 40 songs from different genres, including EDM, pop, Latin, and more. There are also a few mini-games playable alongside challenges and costumes to unlock.

The game will support local two-player and 2 – 8 player online modes. Further, post-launch DLC has been confirmed. Joy-con controls will enable a smoother gameplay experience, with online leaderboards encouraging friendly competition and the World Party mode. Lastly, player individuality is emphasized with cosmetic customization.
