XSEED revealed the retail editions of the Edelweiss-developed action-adventure Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, now set to release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2020.
The publisher revealed that the game will release with two retail editions for PS4 and Switch. Aside from the standard release, which will cost $39.99, players can pick up a “Divine Edition” for $59.99, which includes an artbook, soundtrack of 42 songs on 3 CDs, and a Japanese omamori charm to bring you luck while farming.
Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin is a side-scrolling action game with farming elements. Players will be able to use farm tools as weapons and chain together a variety of attacks with the help of a scarf that can grapple enemies. Furthermore, players can craft items and gather materials for their farm. As Sakuna’s crops grow, she gets stronger.
Additionally, players can explore various environments full of enemies and massive bosses who will put their skills to the test. The demons are inspired by traditional Japanese mythology but featuring many unique twists.
