Publisher Deep Silver has announced that Saints Row: The Third Remastered will be releasing digitally later this month for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
For console players, this updated version of the game will allow them to experience the title on even greater performance settings roughly equivalent to the PC version running at high settings. Improvements to various aspects such as lighting and texture resolution are featured thanks to the superior hardware.
Framerate has also been drastically improved for the new consoles, with 60 frames per second and 4K resolution, further enhancing the zany adventure.
Xbox Series S owners specifically can choose to play the title on Performance Mode, which keeps the gameplay locked at 60fps with a 1080 resolution or Beauty Mode that locks the gameplay to standard 30fps while employing an upscaled 4K resolution.
PlayStation 5 players can make use of Activity Card support, and Dualsense controllers will emit the signature Saints purple glow.
Owners of the title on last-generation consoles can upgrade to this updated version on new consoles free of charge. Free Upgrade and Smart Delivery will be enabled for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S owners respectively.
Saints Row: The Third Remastered is releasing for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG on May 22, 2021.
