Saints Row Developer Volition Announces Closure, Effective Immediately

Saints Row developer Volition has announced that the studio will be closed, effective immediately. This decision arose from Embracer Group restricting itself and deciding that shutting down Volition would be best to approach its goals further.

Still, the team has confirmed that they are providing job assistance for its staff to help smooth the transition. The team also thanks its fans for their support over the years. While this occurrence isn’t all too surprising when considering the reception of the Saints Row reboot, it’s always pretty saddening to hear about studio closures, considering how it affects the staff members.

Saints Row is set in Santo Ileso, a place where you have the power, or you’re fighting to take it. The Saints are back together and on a path to dominate the city. As the boss, you are in control of what you want the Saints to be. There are options for explosive weaponry and brand-new guns, which include up-close and personal takedown and melee assaults. This is a crazy series, and it seems like that hasn’t changed.

Saints Row is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store.
