Saint Seiya Shining Soldiers Opens Pre-Registration for Western Fans

Bandai Namco has announced that Saint Seiya Shining Soldiers will be headed west and players can pre-register now for iOS and Android.

Saint Seiya Shining Soldiers is a free-to-play game where players work their way to become the most powerful warrior. Gameplay uses a 1 on 1 command-bassed battle system where players will need to strategize during combat by understanding their party’s affinities and skills. Attacks can deal massive damage as players build up the Cosmo gauge and unleash Seventh Sense Arts.

Saint Seiya Shining Soldiers also features PvP mode where players can test their skills against others.

Fans can play through Cosmo Chronicle Episode Mode where they can take on a number of different characters. This mode features scenario segments between characters as well as scenes from the anime. Additionally, each character has been fully realized in 3D and features their iconic special moves.

To celebrate the pre-registration, the publisher has launched two new trailers. While the trailers are of your typical Japanese hype variety, they do show a little bit of gameplay. The Said Seiya series is wildly popular in Japan but has had a tough time finding its footing in the west, perhaps a dedicated smartphone game is what it needs. Only time will tell.
