SaGa Frontier Remastered Revealed for PS4, Switch, PC, and Mobile Release in Summer 2021
Square Enix announced their plans to continue to revive the SaGa series in the west by releasing SaGa Frontier Remastered on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC-via Steam, and iOS and Android devices in Summer 2021.
SaGa Frontier Remastered will feature new stories for the game’s protagonist, including new characters such as Fuse. Players will meet a handful of heroes during the quest who each excel in certain skills and abilities. The game is being updated with HD visuals and the option to increase the speed of the gameplay. The developer has also added new events and cutscenes to give returning fans some unique adventures.
SaGa Frontier was first released on PlayStation in 1997. Players can assume the role of seven different protagonists and progress the story in a non-linear fashion. The battle system features 2D character sprites on a 3D field and allows players to choose various actions that allow them to learn new abilities during a match depending on the weapon they have equipped.
Each character in SaGa Frontier has a unique story that interconnects with other stories. Playing the game seven times will reveal a few new options as it becomes easier to clear with stronger characters. SaGa Frontier Remastered’s new protagonist, Fuse, may add a new route to the game, but we are waiting on more information.
For those who can’t wait, Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is being released on December 15 on Nintendo Switch.
