SaGa Frontier Remastered Gets Physical Release on PS4 and Switch

With the upcoming release of Square Enix’s SaGa Frontier Remastered, many fans wondered if a physical release would be on the way.

Well, some good and bad news. The good news is, yes, there will be an English physical release available for SaGa Frontier Remastered on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The bad news is, you’ll need to import it.

Luckily, Play-Asia has both copies available for $39.99 each, which is a pretty low price in general for those wanting a physical version of this PlayStation release. The company also plans to begin shipping on April 15.

SaGa Frontier Remastered will feature new stories for the game’s protagonist, including new characters such as Fuse. Players will meet a handful of heroes during the quest who each excel in certain skills and abilities. The game is being updated with HD visuals and the option to increase the speed of the gameplay. The developer has also added new events and cutscenes to give returning fans some unique adventures.

SaGa Frontier was first released on PlayStation in 1997. Players can assume the role of seven different protagonists and progress the story in a non-linear fashion. The battle system features 2D character sprites on a 3D field and allows players to choose various actions that allow them to learn new abilities during a match depending on the weapon they have equipped.

SaGa Frontier Remastered will launch on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC-via Steam, and iOS and Android devices on April 15.
