Ryukishi07 Visual Novel ‘Loopers’ Opens Steam Page; Release Date Coming Soon

VisualArts has opened the Steam page for the western release of Loopers from scenario writer, Ryukishi07. The game has previously been released on Nintendo Switch in the West via the eShop.

The scenario writer on Loopers is Ryukishi07, whose works include Higurashi When They Cry, Umineko When They Cry, and Ciconia When They Cry. The game is a kinetic visual novel meaning there are no choices during gameplay.

Loopers is centered around Taira, a high school student obsessed with geocaching, where you find treasure. The Steam page for the titles highlights the entire cast of characters providing details about them, such as their birthday and interests. The characters in this story are important to the overall plot, which is borderline science fiction.

During summer vacation, Taira and her friends come across a mysterious incident, and the reality because disoriented as tomorrow becomes today. The group has been swallowed in a time vortex and trapped in a never-ending loop. That’s when they meet other “loopers,” Simon and Mia, and work together to escape.
