Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio Broadcast Next Week To Contain New Trailer; Potentially Yakuza 8

Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has announced via PR Times Japan that they will be hosting a brief new information program on September 8, at 20:00 JST/ 7 AM ET/ 4 AM PT. This broadcast will feature the studio’s director Masayoshi Yokoyama and the product manager Masaya Santou. Additionally, and most prominently, a new sneak peek trailer will be presented, though its contents have not been stated.

Earlier this year, a fragment of Yakuza 8 footage was revealed, showing that the title has already been well into development. Said development also approached climax earlier this year, so it’s fair to assume that we’ll be hearing more significant news about this highly-desired entry soon.

You can set a reminder for this upcoming information broadcast via the official Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio below:

The series has joined PlayStation Plus’ new tiers.

The PlayStation Plus July 2022 games, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, Man of Medan, and Arcadegeddon, will not be redeemable following August 1, 2022, so users should remember to claim them if they didn’t already do so.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the seventh entry in the Yakuza series and stars actors Shinichi Tsutsumi, Ken Yasuda, and Kiichi Nakai, who lend their appearances and voices to the game’s prominent cast members along with Kazuhiro Nakaya voicing the game’s main protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon stars a brand new protagonist for the first time since the series began, Ichiban Kasuga, a low-level yakuza member trying to make it in the world. His story will lead him to form a crew of unlikely allies as he attempts to follow his dreams from rags to riches.
