Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma From Street Fighter Now Playable in Brawlhalla; New Street Brawl Gameplay Mode Added

In partnership with Capcom, Ubisoft has announced that Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma from the Street Fighter franchise have now joined the free-to-play fighter, Brawlhalla, as playable characters.

You can read summations of the 3 characters’ inclusions below:

  • Ryu – Epic Crossover for Petra – Ryu always tries to find the next strongest opponent to better himself. Many of his iconic techniques have been brought over to Brawlhalla, like the Tatsumaki Senpukyaku, Shoryuken, and Hadoken.
  • Chun-Li – Epic Crossover for Wu Shang – The Strongest Woman in the World is sure to teach her opponents a thing or two about how to take a kick. She brings techniques of her own into Brawlhalla, like the Spinning Bird Kick and Kikosho.
  • Akuma – Epic Crossover for Val – Focused on defeating the gods, the Master of the Fist is ready to make them truly tremble to pieces. He’ll achieve ultimate power with his Tatsumaki Zankukyaku and Zanku Hadoken techniques, among a few others.

Additionally, the Street Brawl gameplay mode has been added, letting players duke it out with Street Fighter-themed health bars and K.O aesthetics alongside a new Podium and Satsui no Hado Emote. Further, 4 new avatars featuring Zangief, the Shadaloo symbol, a Hadoken, and an animated avatar showing a quarter circle forward punch are available with a 1 versus 1 map based on Suzaku Castle.

All of the aforementioned content will still be available in the title after the crossover event itself concludes.
