Rush From Mega Man Joining Monster Hunter Rise as Palamute Costume

Capcom has announced that Rush from the Mega Man franchise will be joining Monster Hunter Rise as a costume for Palamutes. When players complete the in-game event quest appearing on September 24, they will be able to earn this costume from clearing it as a layered armor set.

To be honest, seeing Rush in this game is somewhat jarring. Conceptually he fits, but something about the Monster Hunter Rise art style mixing with Rush just feels uncanny valley-like. Regardless, seeing in-company collaborations like this is always exciting and here’s to more in the future.

Monster Hunter Rise is the latest entry of the action-RPG series, where players are tasked with taking on some of the most powerful monsters around. The game is set in the Kamura Village, home to many warriors who have developed unique and innovative hunting technologies. One of which is a remarkable insect called a Wirebug. This allows players to grapple themselves in any direction, making it possible to scale cliffs and structures.

Monster Hunter Rise has plans to release on PC.
