Rune Factory 5 Gets PC Release Date; Visual Improvement and New Customization Options Added
XSEED announced that Rune Factory 5 will launch on PC via Steam on July 13, 2022.
The publisher has confirmed that this version of the game will include visual updates and new customization options when compared to its Switch counterpart. With the performance of the Switch release being its most significant downside, this is good news to fans who have been holding out for an optimized experience.
Since releasing on the Switch, the game has sold over 500,000 units worldwide.
Rune Factory 5 takes the series to new heights as it opens the world through various means of exploration. Players are able to run through dungeons, fight monsters, and meet new characters, but from a new 3D perspective. Typically, these games are played with an over-the-top view of the town and characters, but this latest entry seems to switch it up to provide a new experience to players.
Returning to the game are relationships. Players will choose a male or female protagonist to being their jobs as a peacekeeping ranger. Aside from protecting the town, players will need to look after the crops and fish for food. Throughout the adventure, they will meet a handful of NPCs that they can possibly fall in love with and get married to in-game. The game also features a new battle system that is more action-focused and a traveling system with familiar companions.
