Rune Factory 5 Delayed to Early 2022; News to be Shown at E3 2021
XSEED Games has shared their plans for E3 2021. Besides new announcements, the company will share some news and videos on Rune Factory 5 and other upcoming titles. The farming RPG was originally known as one of the biggest games from the publisher that’d be available this year. However, it’s now slated for an Early 2022 release window on Nintendo Switch.
Rune Factory 5 is the most recent game in the franchise which started as a spin-off of Bokujou Monogatari (the original Harvest Moon, currently named Story of Seasons in the West) and was released by Marvelous in Japan on May 20. This is the first new game in the series to come to Switch, though the system also had an enhanced version of 3DS’s Rune Factory 4.
With more exploration options, the game tells the story of an amnesiac peacekeeping ranger as he or she tries to protect town and enjoy a life of adventure, farming and romance. Multiple weapons and special abilities can be used, as well as familiar companions and friends.
We’ll keep you updated on any news on Rune Factory 5 that comes out during XSEED’s E3 streams, as well as any important information released afterward by the company as we wait for its early 2022 release.
