UPDATES: Rune Factory 3 Special Introduces Marriage Candidates

The official Marvelous Europe Twitter account has begun sharing profiles for the marriage candidates players can look forward to meeting in the upcoming Rune Factory 3 Special. So far, the bachelorettes Pia and Carmen have been introduced.

Pia is a mermaid who runs the baths, though her legs turn into fins if she gets wet. Due to her nature, eating fish in front of her is not advised. Carmen is an energetic angler aiding her brother’s fishing resort.

UPDATE 11/30/2022: Sofia has been introduced as the third marriage candidate. She tends to say the opposite of what she truly means, leading to plenty of mixed messaging. Further, her upbringing has been rooted in wealth, though it’s balanced by her down-to-earth worldview.

UPDATE 12/6/2022: Raven has been introduced as the fourth marriage candidate. She tends to keep to herself, though still considerate of others around her. However, her fury can occasionally be seen.

UPDATE 12/12/2022: Shara has been introduced as the fifth marriage candidate. She’s a gentle flower-lover, and quite kind to all she meets. She put herself in charge of caring for the flower field in Privera Forest.

Sakuya has been introduced as the sixth marriage candidate. She’s the daughter of the innkeeper who loves to travel. She sells a shop selling monster loot, and she delivers the punchlines to Pia’s joke setups.

Marian has been introduced as the seventh marriage candidate. She’s an apprentice witch and apprentice doctor, researching how to combine the two practices. However, as a result of her ambitions, she puts herself and others in danger at points.

Kuruna has been introduced as the eighth marriage candidate. She’s a surviving member of the one-horned univir people and the elder of the monster settlement. She’s also quite passionate for sweets.

Karina has been introduced as the ninth marriage candidate. She’s lazy but clever and capable when determined. Further, she’s the clerk of the general store, yet she can’t stand the occupation.

UPDATE 12/15/2022: Daria has been introduced as the tenth marriage candidate. She’s an artist skilled in multiple mediums, having an affinity for rainbow incorporation. As a result, she’s usually on the lookout for them.

Rune Factory 3 Special is an HD remaster of the original Rune Factory 3 game originally released on the Nintendo DS. In this title, players play as Micah, an amnesiac protagonist who can transform into two forms. Farm, fight, and fall in love as you revisit a classic in the series that perfected the blend of RPG & Life-sim genres.

Rune Factory 3 Special will be releasing in Japan on March 2, 2023, for Nintendo Switch. XSEED will be localizing the game in North America, while Marvelous Europe will be handling distribution in the titular region, though no specific release dates have been given yet.
